What we have to offer an idea: boats, our own and the ships we charter, and a dock to leave from; local knowledge of the Pacific Northwest coast, its water, its seasons and the people who work it; and the means to host most kinds of people, scientists and fishermen and artists and the people early in their careers who should be in the room. What we ask in return is that the gathering makes something and leaves a record of the place: data, writing or work made there.

Island Lab is a practice in coastal resilience: experiments in bringing people, places and ideas together, on ships we charter and on our members' own boats. Every gathering, past and coming, is at islandlab.dev/gatherings.
