Salish Voyage 2026 · Apply

Four days under sail out of Port Townsend, 17 to 20 September, aboard the 1913 schooner Adventuress.

We read the Salish, and record how we found her in 2026. About twenty places. The cohort is selected by application, not by order of payment.

Applications are open now and close 1 September. We read them as they come and write back to everyone.

Please answer in your own voice. The question about a place that shaped you is the part that matters most. It is how we read for fit with the way we work and the questions we hold. There are no wrong answers. The mix is the whole point.

A sentence or two, not a CV. Tell us what you aspire to for the land and waters we share.
We will all be giving, to the Adventuress, to the Salish, and to each other. What do you offer the crew and the days we will spend together?
Anything that helps us see you: website, writing, social, recent work. If little of you lives online, say so and tell us where else to look.
What did it teach you, and what are you still learning from it? Write as much or as little as it takes.
Everyone sails the same voyage, and the rate reflects what you can give.
The scholarship fund holds places for voices that would otherwise not be aboard. If cost is the barrier and you would otherwise sail, check the box and say a little more under notes.
Cost, timing, access, dietary needs: we read these too. If cost is the barrier and you would otherwise be aboard, say so here. If nothing applies, write none.
